BRICOLAGE

KIT PANKIW

Creative Strategist + Experience Designer

a community-minded business development studio

In this digital age, there’s something about brick-and-mortar that feels almost vintage—special.

If we want thriving communities, we need walkable cities. And if we want walkable cities, we need brick-and-mortar small businesses.

I come from an entrepreneurial family: my father built his own company helping people plan for the future, and my mother helps people find their truest home, in both a physical and soulful sense. I like to think I’m a blend of them both: part strategist, part storyteller, part community-builder.

My ultimate vision is simple: 15-minute cities filled with creative, supportive local businesses that allow both families and communities to thrive.

MY BACKGROUND

After graduating from Flagler College with a BA in English Literature, I taught myself metal smithing and launched my first small business: a fine jewelry line built on minimalist, everyday design. Within two years, I had 12 wholesale accounts and my work was sold worldwide, including in NYC and a beautiful shop in Japan.

Since then, I’ve spent many years working freelance, guiding other founders and brands to tell their stories and build their concepts from the ground up—tackling everything from operations and customer experience to brand positioning and creative strategy. I’ve worked with well-known artists in Los Angeles, viral Instagram influencers, NYT-bestselling authors, and even helped launch a colleague’s marketing agency.

During the pandemic, I began a visual art practice, was accepted into the first exhibition I applied to, and sold out every artwork I made over 18 months. More recently, my corporate project management experience with companies like Dr. Martens, NPR, Microsoft, and Nike has sharpened my technical skills and deepened my business acumen.

 WHAT I DO

I help people uncover the emotional heart of their work and design how others experience it—through language, structure, and curated moments.

I partner with founders, creatives, and mission-led brands to:

  • Clarify values, voice, and core story

  • Define brand aesthetics (moodboards, mockups, naming)

  • Shape offerings, touchpoints, and customer experiences

  • Build sustainable scaling plans and operational processes

What I’m Not

I’m not a low-effort, low-involvement consultant. I’m a strategic, hands-on partner. I don’t do cookie-cutter marketing plans or trendy, surface-level concepts. I invest deeply in the projects I take on, because I want to create work with cultural impact and longevity.

I believe small businesses should be more than “Instagrammable moments.” We don’t need another gray-walled café with a faux-flower wall and neon sign. We need rich, complex third spaces—unique, textured environments that foster connection, cultural exchange, and beauty in everyday life.

MY FOCUS

While I do work with online brands, my true passion is brick-and-mortar businesses—cafés, boutiques, creative studios, cultural hubs. I care about aesthetic energy, human interaction, and crafting businesses that strengthen their neighborhoods with depth, nuance, and novelty.

Bricolage is for dreamers with vision who are ready to turn that vision into a thoughtful, scalable reality.
